Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Patiyo mobile app and the patiyo.app website ("Patiyo"). By creating an account you accept them; if you don't, please don't use Patiyo. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. The Turkish version of these terms is the binding one.

1. What Patiyo is

Patiyo is a place for pet owners to meet: playdates, breeding with verified breeders, free adoption listings and pet sitters or walkers. Patiyo is not a party to what users arrange between themselves; meet-ups, adoptions and pet care happen between users.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or older to use Patiyo.
• Your details (name, city, district) and your pet's details must be true. You can't open an account for someone else.
• One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
• People banned for breaking the community rules may not open a new account.

3. Community rules: zero tolerance

The following is never allowed. Such content is removed and the account may be suspended or closed without warning:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or bullying
• Sexual, obscene or violent content, or images of animals being mistreated
• Selling animals, or asking for money, gifts or anything else in return for an adoption
• Fake profiles, using someone else's photos, misleading information
• Scams, asking for money or deposits, advertising and spam
• Using Patiyo for dating: pets are the ones meeting here, and profiles are about the pet
• Anything illegal

If you come across inappropriate content or behaviour, use Report and Block in the app. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. People you block can't see you again.

4. Your content

The photos, text and messages you share remain yours. By sharing them you let Patiyo use them only to run the service (showing your profile to other users, delivering your messages). Your content is deleted when you delete your account. You are responsible for making sure you own, or have the right to share, what you post.

5. Breeding and breeders

Breeding is open only to breeders with a verified breeding permit. Breeders are responsible for their permit details being correct, and breeding must follow Türkiye's Animal Protection Law No. 5199 and related rules. Patiyo does not supervise breeders; the permit check is a safety measure, not a guarantee.

6. Adoption

Adoption is always free. The person rehoming a pet reviews applications and decides. Listing owners are responsible for giving accurate information about the pet's health and needs.

7. Sitters and walkers

Sitter and walker profiles go live after an identity check and a listing fee. Prices, scope and payment for the service are agreed between the sitter and the pet owner; Patiyo is not a party to that agreement. Reviews and ratings must reflect real experiences.

8. Meet-ups and safety

Patiyo does not verify users' identity or background. Be careful when meeting: choose a busy place like a park, beach or café, tell someone where you'll be, never send money to someone you met on Patiyo, and make sure your pet's vaccines are up to date. Users are responsible for their meet-ups, agreements and what comes of them.

9. Patiyo Premium

• Premium is a subscription bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, charged to your Apple ID or Google account.
• It renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can cancel or change it in your device's account settings under Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their own refund rules.
• Premium features and prices are shown on the Premium screen in the app; changes don't affect a period you've already paid for.

10. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend accounts, remove content or close accounts that break these terms, with or without warning. Accounts that receive serious negative reviews from more than one person may be suspended automatically. You can close your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account (details). Refunds for remaining Premium time follow the store's rules.

11. Limitation of liability

Patiyo is provided as is, and we don't promise it will always work without interruption or errors. Patiyo is not responsible for users' behaviour, what they share or what they agree between themselves. This does not limit liability that can't be limited by law (such as intent or gross negligence) and doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and Patiyo only. Apple and Google are not parties to them and are not responsible for Patiyo or its content. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms prevail.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. For important changes, you'll be asked to accept the new version before you continue using the app. The version number and date at the top change with every update.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. As a consumer, you keep your right to apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts within the legal limits. Questions: destek@patiyo.app
